The LS9 is the ideal solution for such live scenarios as small to medium corporate events.
Each model has comprehensive I/O capability for optimum application versatility.
The 32-fader model (LS9-32) boasts 32 balanced XLR inputs with remote head amplification and 16 XLR omni outs.
Both models provide 2TR digital in/out connections plus MIDI I/O, Word Clock I/O, USB and Ethernet ports.
In addition, the LS9 introduces a new and exciting feature to Yamaha's digital mixing console range: MP3 format digital audio recording and playback. For the first time, users can capture virtually anything - stereo, mix, matrix, or direct channel outs - on an external USB flash drive inserted via the USB Storage port on the side of the LS9's raised display panel.
The LS9 performs real-time MP3 encoding on-board and stores audio recordings on the inserted flash drive for future reference or distribution. The LS9's playback function allows effortless playback of MP3 audio stored on a USB flash drive, giving users the ability to play back any pre-recorded material without the need for external hardware. The USB memory player is compatible with MP3, AAC and WMA file formats at 96, 128 or 196 kbps.
Further, the LS9 is fully expandable via Mini-YGDAI cards, enabling further inputs or outputs to be added via analogue, AES, ADAT, TDIF, CobraNet, Aviom, EtherSound or MADI interfaces. The Mini-YGDAI cards allow the single-slot LS9-16 to expand its I/O capacity to up to 32 simultaneous input channels and 24 total outputs, while the dual-slot LS9-32 can achieve up to 64 inputs and 48 outputs via Mini-YGDAI expansion.
The LS9's ample control surface provides immediate tactile control via 100mm faders complete with on-board, six-point LED metering for each channel. Both versions also provide the added convenience of eight mute groups.
